The Marketo Summit 2018 is right around the corner. Last year, over 6,000 attended in San Francisco and we expect a similar number in 2018.

This is our fourth year in a row putting together this mega 2,500 word guide for our loyal readers. We have spent 30+ hours compiling videos and content so you don’t have to–plus, the team loves do it.

Use this guide to figure out which sessions to attend, where to get the best SWAG and which parties to get your groove on. This year’s theme is The Fearless Marketer so bring your A-game to the event.

Which Marketo Summit 2018 Sessions to Attend?

The Marketo Summit is a fantastic opportunity to meet many like-minded marketing professionals and learn new things. If you come out of the event with three actionable items that you can implement, that’s a big win.

 

There are so many great sessions at the Marketo Summit 2018, it can be very overwhelming. Honestly, it’s like going to a great candy store where everything tastes so good.

Don’t worry, Marketo is recording them all so you can catch up on the ones you missed.

Where do you start?

When I plan for the Marketo Summit, I take a three-step approach. Maybe yours is different but planning in advance is key.

  • The Champs are Fearless. I start with the Marketo Champion sessions where Marketo’s top users show off top tips and tricks. I’ll probably get to 3 or 4 sessions.  If you have time on Monday at 4pm, see RevEngine Marketing’s own Jenn DiMaria speak with Juli James at Skinning Schrodinger’s Cat: Fearless Marketing When You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know.

Tip: Marketo doesn’t make it easy to find these sessions on the Summit website. Most/All Champ sessions are listed under the Marketo Technical & Foundational so that’s a good starting place.   • What is Important to You? I then fill in most of the remaining slots with a few priority topics. For example, I am really interested in learning about cross-channel marketing trends and analytics. I’ll find a mix of sessions that match to those topics.
  • Take a Leap. I work in a wild card and attend some random session to learn something new that I didn’t expect.

Who is Speaking at the 2018 Marketo Summit?

If you want a good seat for the keynote, make sure to get to the auditorium at least 30 minutes before. Otherwise, you could find yourself standing.

Overall, who is speaking at the Marketo Summit 2018?

From the celebrity side of things, Jamie Foxx are Lindsey Vonn are leading the Marketo Summit 2018 keynotes this year. As a skier, I’m a big fan of Vonn and her battles to be the best the best skier in the world. If #Fearless is the theme, Marketo nailed in with Vonn who regularly hurls herself down mountains at crazy speeds.

I am dating myself but I loved Foxx’s early work in In Living Color.

On the business front, the usual suspects of Marketo speakers will take the stage. Steve Lucas (CEO Marketo) and Sarah Kennedy (CMO Marketo) will cover the latest Marketo vision.
