The content mix is so important to driving the marketing engine. Many companies focus on just white papers or just ebooks or just blog posts. The key is to use a mix of content and leverage that same content across vehicles. For example, turn that blog post into a white paper and then repurpose it for a live webinar which then turns into an on demand fulfillment.

Another part of the mix is content curation where you pull relative content content that is targeted towards your audience.  Companies such as Curata  build solutions that help companies add content to their own blog for early funnel touches.  These touches help move interested parties up the content pyramid.
